We had our back to school dinner again this year. I am for sure doing this every year. It is quickly becoming a favorite tradition. I have always loved the feeling of going back to school.You're nervous and excited, you lay your clothes out the night before, you can't wait to see friends you didn't get to see all summer.
So for our dinner this year the theme was all about light. We talked about how their future is bright and they have so much to look forward to this year. Then we talked about the sunflowers and how they always turn toward the light. So we said they need to be like the sunflowers and seek knowledge and good friends etc.
They are a young, but they understood. It's going to be fun to see all the things they learn this year.
For me back to school always means new goals. It does feel a little off this year since school is starting so early.
Goals this year....
continue to have family night every Monday
have family movie/fun night every other week
date night every Friday {home or away}
consistent family prayer and scripture study
continue to read the friend with kids
have kids read at least 15 mins a day
go to library once a month
