Bronson Wayne Mecham made his arrival on Thursday November 21st at 8:08 am! He was 9'9! Pretty glad I ended up having a c section! I guess he was breach for a reason. So we dropped sharlie and cole off at the Rivards at 4:30am and then off to the hospital for the c section. It was so weird to not have any labor pains. So surgery wasn't until 8 and I thought time would go so slow but it actually went by pretty fast. There was just stuff for them to do, put in my iv, draw blood then dr Lupinetti came in and talked to us for a minute, then the anesthesia team etc. Next thing you know we are starting early and I am getting wheeled back. Once we got to the OR they just kind of cut Beegh off and were like sorry you can't come back for the spinal. It felt weird he didn't even get to say bye or good luck to me. Getting the spinal wasn't too bad. It was really hard to bend over as much as they wanted me to. I just held the arm of my nurse. After the spinal I felt a little crazy for a couple minutes. Just short on breath and dizzy. Then dr Lupinetti came in, Beegh came in and they started before I even knew it. I could just feel a lot of pushing and pulling and then he was here! They brought him to the side and showed me him. I was so happy I got to see him(with Sharlie I didn't see her for what felt like forever)! Then all if the sudden I got referred pain to my shoulder and it was awful! I couldn't breath and it felt like I was going to black out and I started dry heaving. The anesthesia guy who was LDS just kept saying you're okay, slow deep breaths. Who knows what they gave me but after a few minutes I felt good. Beegh got a few pictures but the nurse was kind of rude about letting him watch. They kept saying oh my gosh look how small you are so I looked down and I see my leg it was so weird because I thought my leg was straight but it was totally bent and almost off the bed. It didn't even seem like it was my leg. Being numb is crazy. Anyway they transferred me to my bed and then brought little Bronson over. So precious and perfect.
My recovery has been amazing!! Serioulsy just a week and a half after I didn't need pain meds anymore. Well this little boy is a hungry guy! He wants to eat every 2 hours. I do feel like right now all I do is feed him! I guess to keep that 9'9 he's got to eat more than most! I am just trying to enjoy him and his sweet cuddles. This phase always goes by so fast.
