A couple weeks ago a few girls and I started doing joy school. Sharlie loves it b/c to her it just means we get to go play at someones house. It has been nice to teach lessons focused more on concepts instead of just ABC's and 123. I got to host a little Valentines themed lesson with friendship as the topic. We read some friendship books and talked about how to be a good friend, fished for friends { they had to say something nice about the person they caught}, tried to guess which friends face you were touching while blind folded and of course made Valentines. We also made some friendship fruit mix. Sharlie loved having friends over to celebrate Valentines day with.

We made our own
suckers this yr. and they turned out great. I might make it a Valentines tradition.

Friendship fruit
1 C sharing {grapes}
1 C listening {strawberries}
1/2 C caring {bananas}
1 C fun {oranges}
1/2 C love { heart strawberry marshmallow}
mix together with kindness {yogurt}
I am so thankful that Sharlie has some great little friends out here!
