Sharlie is really tall for her age so everyone always assumes she is older than she really is. A couple people here thought she was turning four. Her birthdays normally leave me feeling a little bit sad b/c I can't believe how quickly its all going by, but everyone already thinking she is older did make this birthday a little easier. It kinda felt like she has been 3 for a couple months now.
One thing that was hard about this birthday was not having any family around. Since we just moved here we didn't have a big party for Sharlie. We just celebrated here with the four of us . Sharlie enjoyed it and didn't know any better, but I couldn't help thinking about how nice it would have been to have our family here to celebrate with us. Sharlie has really been missing her cousins and grandparents. She tells me almost everyday how she misses them. You know that once we move back to AZ she is going to complain about missing her friends from here! Such is life.
Beegh ended up being on call all weekend so we had to celebrate Sharlie's b-day earlier than expected. Since we didn't have a party it didn't matter too much I just wish I would have had time to make her a better cake!
Well I am just grateful to have such a silly little girl in our family! We love her so much! Happy birthday Sharlie Jayne!
