We made it!

I don't know how ( I think I already blocked it out), but some how we managed to drive across the country with our two little kids (its a 32 hour drive not including stops to get gas, eat etc.)! Yes Sharlie had a couple melt downs along the way, but overall she did so good! The drive to AZ was a little easier b/c Cole was only two months. The drive back he was 4 months, so he cared a little bit more about being in his car seat. He did sleep through the whole night on the drive home , so that was nice. Anyway, we were crazy, we just drove the whole way through. No stopping and staying in a hotel for a night or any nonsense like that. Really though Beegh is amazing. On our drive to Arizona he drove until like 3am and then I took over. On the drive home he drove until 6:30 am, crazy! I have no idea how he could drive through the night like that while the rest of us slept! While on the road Sharlie discovered a new favorite movie... Snow white. She met Snow white at Disneyland so I think that has something to do with it. She ended up watching Snow White, wait for it......... 4 times!! I don't even know how. I think she woke up in the middle of the night and Beegh just put it on for her. Who knows, seriously the drive is just all blurring together for me! One tip a friend of mine gave me after we got home ( could have used this information yesterday) was to wrap gifts and give them to your kids every couple hours. That way they have a new little toy to play with and they are excited for the next present. Hopefully I don't ever have to use that tip b/c I think my days of driving across the country are done. Once we move back west after residency I think I'll just fly with the kids. Really what got us through was obviously the dvd player, Sharlie's blocks (she can play with those for hours) books and snacks, oh and driving while the kids slept.

You guys impress me! It's SO hard to make that kind of a drive--esp. straight through. SO HAPPY you made it! It's fun to see you guys again and have you around!
