Hello World

Our little Cole finally (he actually came 2 days early) made his entrance into the world!! I am so happy that he came early and that I am not still pregnant! Here's how it happened. Monday day I decided to take some castor oil because I was sick of being pregnant and I wanted to get this baby out. My sister in law was coming into town on Tuesday and Beegh has an externship he needs to get to so I just felt like this little guy really needed to get here. I was worried that he would come late, resulting in my sister in law already being gone and Beegh missing more of his externship. So I took the castor oil in the morning , it stayed down for about an hour and then I threw it all back up. It was horrible, totally made me feel like crap.
Other than throwing up I had my typical cramping throughout the day, but nothing more then normal... 1:30am I wake up having contractions. I stayed home as long as I could because I wanted to make sure the contractions were intense enough so I wouldn't be sent home. Since I wanted to do a vbac (I heard that the odds were better the longer you waited to get an epidural ) I figured I might as well stay at home as long as I could. Yeah I think I waited a little to long. When we got to the hospital I was a 9!!! The nurses suggested just not getting an epidural at this point and some how I agreed! So with no drugs or anything this little boy came into the world at 6:04 am. Really I have no idea why some people opt. for natural birth. I guess its cool to be able to say that I went through a natural labor or whatever, but holy crap I would not recommend it! It was crazy, I can't believe I did it.
Sharlie was a c-section and now Cole, a natural birth. Maybe with the third kid I'll get it right. At least child birth with an epidural will now seem really easy.
Anyway I know most people probably just skipped passed this whole story to see pictures. So here you go...

I love having a little newborn in our house. You can just feels his sweet little spirit.

YAY!!! Congrats!!! He is beautiful and I love his name. I am glad to hear that everything went well and that you were able to deliver him VBAC. I am one of those crazy people that prefer natural child birth. I had Kaia naturally and was talked into an epidural with the boys. I will go natural any day. Epidurals and my body don't mesh well at all. Anyway not that you cared to know that. LOL Call me if you need anything. I have some free time during the days with the kiddos at school. If you need anything just let me know!

We need to get together! Let me know when you are on this side of town!

Love him already! I'm ready to help!

Sounds like we have pretty much identical birth stories! But in the end, we're just glad these babies are here, right?:) Better out than in!
