Crazy Cleveland

I just thought this story was great!

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers fans are waiting in line for several hours at Cleveland-area Papa John's locations to buy a large pizza for 23 cents.

The deal comes after a Washington-area Papa John's pizza shop made and distributed "CRYBABY" T-shirts with the No. 23 to criticize Cleveland Cavaliers All-Stat LeBron James during the Cleveland-Washington series.

The promotion is part of an apology to Cleveland fans.

Some customers waited as long as 2½ hours for the cheap pizza. At the University Heights Papa John's, the wait is up to five hours.

At that location, police said a few people tried to jump the line, but they were pulled out and those in line started to cheer.

This all comes after owners of stores in Washington, D.C.-area got a bit overzealous with the "CRYBABY" T-shirts.

Tim North, a division manager for Papa John's, said all northeast Ohio Papa John's are participating. The one-topping pizza has to be picked up, however.

"It's a recession-busting offer, and we certainly hope we have made it up to Cleveland," North said.

Oh man, you gotta love Cleveland! Their die-hard devotion to athletics really makes them one of a kind. Um...we decided to pass on the 23-cent pizza when we heard how crazy the lines were!
